Amya Dixon grew up in the forests outside of Atlanta with a drunken mom and no dad. When the apocalypse hits, she roams the forests trying to stay away from the dead and even humans. But what happens when she runs into a group also just outside of Atlanta and one of the group members reveals to be more important than she wanted. She is forced to stick around but after a while finds herself enjoying the groups company and even helping them out once and a while.
