(Volume 2 of the Reformation Wars series)

Tom Holt is an unwilling lone wolf among his brethren in Monterayne's respected Knights of the King's Table and finds himself turned into their errand boy. He wears himself thin carrying out tasks both boring and exhilarating, dangerous and menial alike.

Meanwhile, unrest continues among Monterayne and its neighbors as the Innutukian Empire continues stirring up trouble in the area, igniting new conflicts and resurfacing old ones. Their prime tool remains the mysterious unmarked swordsman who first emerged two years ago, still unknown in identity and training.

However, it has been determined that this masked figure specializes in a swordsmanship style unique to Monterayne and concealed from foreigners. With a traitor certain, all practitioners of the style are being called back to the capitol for questioning, and Tom is sent to retrieve a particularly reticent knight...

As long as there were kings on thrones to reinforce the idea that people like Porter and Briar and everyone else I cared about were unworthy of this world, I wasn't done. "And then," I continued, a resolution forming in my mind. "I'm going to destroy those six thrones." ********************************************** Wren Heatherfield has been through hell and back, surviving the deadly trials of the Garner and claiming the title of Garner Champion. However, her fight is far from over, with the real challenges only just beginning.
