Centuries after the Fall, the United States has been wiped away. The crumbling remains of the great American empire are home now only to savage, lawless tribes and packs of ravening Damned-the twisted children of the apocalypse. Most of those few who survived humanity's destruction spend their short lives in a violent struggle for survival. But some light still flickers in the darkness: the Blessed of Bountiful live in seclusion, relying on walls both physical and spiritual to protect them from the Desolation that their world has become. Among them are the Saints, those few men and women born with superhuman abilities that the Blessed see as gifts from God. The violent apostate tribes of the Northeast Kingdom have always been a danger, but up until recently its small size and the vigilance of its people have made Bountiful an unappealing target. As attacks on the community grow harsher and more frequent, however, even the steadfast Blessed are forced to start preparing for the worst. With her home's very existence threatened, seventeen year old Ever Oaks, a Saint with the power to heal, is forced to make a difficult choice, one that may come to define her people's future... Exile was a semi-finalist in Mark Lawrence's Great Self-Published Fantasy Blog-Off (#SPFBO). Fantasy Faction said it was "extremely cool," and Bookish Lifestyle called it "more than just a story, a journey and an experience." When I'm asked about it, I often describe it as "X-Men meets The Walking Dead." In addition to reading it here for free, you can buy Exile in e-book or paperback on Amazon.com.

"Do your dreams generally revolve around fucking me on the bathroom counter," I ask, beginning to breathe heavier as he kisses down my neck and playfully pushes a tad forward with his hips. ******************* It's love but it's war. It's only been three years since her world flipped on its head. Where guns blazed, blood splattered and The Grim Reaper became a very close friend. If Siren and Reaper thought coming together was a challenge, they were utterly mistaken. The world around them, although not explicitly opposed to their love, challenges every ounce of dignity, humility, loyalty, courage and love they have within themselves as individuals. Their relationship hangs in the balance long before the real whirlwind of trouble comes sweeping in. With new friends and new enemies, old ones too, it is hard to keep on their feet and know who to trust. Especially in a business that thrives on double-crossing. Will love between the two be enough to soldier them through the war? Or do they need a miracle to save them? *********** SEQUEL TO SAPPHIRE (I did include a quick recap of SAPPHIRE)** ********* Highest ranks: 67| Fiction 3| Capetown 1| Joburg 46| Luxury 108| Medical 81| Heartache Genre: angst, smut, drama, action, romance, fluff WARNING: mentions of child abuse, sexual abuse, non-consent, rape, physical abuse, medical malpractice, drugs use, miscarriage, murder, torture, trafficking etc. This is an 18+ book with graphic sex and gore scenes. 21 year old Victoria Moretti, is an assassin. She is an independent woman that doesn't rely on a man to do anything. She thinks they are a waste of time and that they are egotistical or thinks highly of themselves, that all they do is sit around waiting to be laid on. The only exception she has for men is if she needs to have relationships with them for her missions. Her hatred towards men began due to her trauma that was caused by her father who abused her mother, her, and her younger sister. Victoria always hated how her father would treat the girls in the house, she never truly understood why he did the things he did but she was always to scared to question it, scared that if she would say anything her father would have an outburst of rage from the sudden question. So she never said anything she kept her mouth closed until something would change her life in a positive or negative way. But one day after one of her missions her boss called her telling they have to have a little talk over some dinner. Reluctantly she had to accept it due to it being her boss. Her boss told her she's going to have a partner due to her next mission being a difficult one and you physically can't do it only with one person. Her partner being Tom Kaulitz. She was mad at her boss because she knew that he knew about her problems with men and her background with them, but her boss simply didn't care on what she has to say since he's the one making the change. - "𝐈𝐓'𝐒 𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐄𝐘𝐄𝐒. ( discontinued to be rewritten ) Huntingtown was panicking; no one knew where the sirens were coming from. There was no electricity, and there was no way for the storm Sirens to be sounding, yet they were. The entire Town was awake; everyone had a weapon. They had grabbed guns, knives, swords, and bats if they could be wielded and used for self-defense; Renee aimed her rifle at the trees, looking desperately for an explanation. Why would a siren sound? They only sounded when they were in Danger, so where was the Danger? When the predators revealed themselves, that was where the siren noise was coming from. Renee could feel her heart jump into her throat. Her face went pale; they were here. They had found the Town. Terror and panic soon swept Huntingtown; everyone knew what those monsters could do. After all, they did conquer the planet and impose the "choosing." Huntingtown was created hoping that its isolation in a cold climate would keep the Predators away, but it didn't. A voice came over those speakers. A male voice Gruff and laced with a growl. It was almost as if whoever was speaking was annoyed and angry. "Although I have enjoyed seeing your little Town outmaneuver many hunters. I am afraid this is where your little games end. However, I will give you a chance to keep your freedom. A hunt. You will be red by your best hunter, Renee Madison." Renee felt her blood go cold as she stared wide-eyed at the ship. She was unknowingly dropping her gun at the news. " she will be your leader; she will be my prize. You have a time advantage. Go!" The ship took off, looking for a place to land, all while the news sank into the Town's residence. Renee had known she had fucked up when she fired at one of those predators and hit him. She had proven herself worthy of the hunt. Now she has to face the consequences, not only her but her entire Town had to. Renee had to win this hunt; the fate of her Town depended on it.
