'The electric glow shone out from the bulb that hung above the Doctor’s head. He stared up at it, his worries confirmed. There was a creature living inside Mount Etna.'

The Doctor and Ace arrive in the city of Catania on the island of Sicily, during ancient Greek times. A series violent earthquakes soon take the Doctor's interest, and he realizes that Sicily's volcano, Mount Etna, is about to erupt, and it's going to be massive, more so than it should. With the help of a young local boy, Bion, Ace and the Doctor investigate mount Etna and it's impossible eruption, to find that more than rock and lava lies beneath this monument...

                                                                                *******************

This is the short story I wrote for a Doctor Who writing comp. It didn't win, but I was one of the last to be cut off! Anyway, I hope you enjoy this, and please give me some feedback!
