Aria Bradford thinks it's best to keep one's problems to oneself because talking about it to other people won't solve them. That is why she never talks to her friends about her past and the occasional nightmares that bother her. All she cares about is holding onto her scholarship, getting a degree and landing a good job.

But when she crosses paths with her university's reputed honor student, Aria's mantra of life breaks apart. The girl is stunned when she discovers how that honor student, who is the textbook example of perfection, harbors scars almost identical to hers and she unexpectedly finds herself opening up to him about her past.
