Penelope Jelani, a simple apathetic loner teenager who genuinely doesn't give a single crap about what's happening around her in school. She doesn't care about what other people has to say about her and freely wear clothes that she describes to be "extremely comfortable" aka anything-that-feels-comfortable-for-her-clothing. Besides, what does she have to prove anyway? Not that she cares. She may be stone cold hard at school and to most of the people she barely knows, but she's a whole other person when she's at home and with the people she loves.

Grant Monte is rich and popular. Cliché as it sounds but it's true; every girl at school does fawn over him. He does have the looks of a super model. But unlike the others, Grant is not some player who plays with girls' hearts. He's the kind of guy who only hooks up with girls who knows that it's only a one-time thing. In short, he mostly goes for college girls or girls that does not attend their school.

Grant has no plans to be involved in a committed and serious relationship throughout high school but it all seem to change after taking an interest on Penelope Jelani, who's always at his house almost every single day.
