Emma Leslie had been hiding away in a small room in Écoust for nearly two years when one night she goes out to look for something to eat again and finds an unconscious soldier who happens to be Lance Corporal William Schofield.
The two decide to seek refuge in Emma's hiding spot for the night, being chased by German soldiers on their way.

Follow the story of two strangers that end up forming a strong friendship and end up facing the dangers of war together.
