"As she looks down at the piece of paper, Effie notices that she'd tore it in half while pulling it out. "Such flimsy paper, I cant even make out the full name. Rose something. Guess the odds were in the favour of the young lady". She flutters her eyelashes at the camera. I wonder if she would get in trouble for the incident later.
Effie reaches into the bowl again, much more careful this time, barely going deeper. She then crosses back to the podium and unfolds the piece of paper, reading clearly what it said.

What if something happened to the slip of paper with Prim's name on it? If Effie Trinket had to draw out a different name. And this time, it happened to have been yours.

In the condition of living in the district 13 you have to follow numerous rules, including freedom and opportunity to explore the unknown world. And it ultimately crushes her dreams of being able to do anything at all. But lucky for her, she doesn't like obeying people, so she always finds ways to escape the system. For background, Y/n is a loner without any friends or blood relatives at all. It might sound depressing, but Y/n has learned to cope with it. After all, she has Marilyn! Marilyn is an old lady from room 542, so basically next door neighbor. She's like a mother for her, being always there for Y/n. She took her in when Y/n was just an infant, barely even walking or being able to survive on her own. And Marilyn has taken care of her ever since, treating as if she was one of her own. Hunger Games characters are transported through time. Is it a second chance? After Katniss assassinated Coin, Peeta was a heartbeat too late when Katniss ate her night lock in a swift motion. A chance to undo the irreversible is granted but a few turning points occur for when the characters are transported back in time, they all get put at different points in time. How can you communicate to someone who's oblivious? "In a heartbeat, I move my bow, swiftly realising the slim arrow. It flies through the sky, whistling in the wind as fast as fast as light. The sun's seductive glare gleams across the shiny tip as it pierces Coin's heart. A pool of blood oozes from her chest, covering her like a blanket of death. The crowd, stunned with shock, recovers quickly, turning into an angry stampede of elephants. The elephants roar and in a second Snow's body is nothing more than a bloody pulp.
