Kai's History
[Finished] This is where all the timelines from 'That Homeless Boy' series link together as a form of one single timeline from Kai's perspective. If you haven't noticed, all of my books starting with 'In Need of' are connected by the name of a boy called Kai, these books are all part of a series called 'That Homeless Boy'. In this book, you shall find his whole life written in here in only his perspective. I would advise you to read the other books first. This book just sums them all up into a nicer timeline which might clear up some questions you might have after reading the other books. The order of the books is said in their blurbs. Here, I'm going to pour my whole life out onto these pages. This book will probably know more about me than any other person that knows me. This is my story, my life. My tragic life but with a happy ending. I've caused bad luck to people in my life without knowing but many of them are happier than before. So, I don't think I would take back the sh*t that's happened to me. Don't worry, you'll find out about the sh*t soon enough. Do be beware that my life was quite the ride and some might think of it as excessive. But hey, that's the life I got. So, I now welcome you to my life. My life was supposed to be normal. You're born, raised by good parents, go to school, make friends, graduate, get a job. You create fun memories, find the love of your life, get married, start a family, grow old, and eventually, you breathe your last. That's what life was supposed to be like for me. But instead, my life turned out to be the opposite of normal. And so it was for Chiara, Blake, Jake, Rowan, Nova, and Dijon. To tell our story, we need to go all the way back to the beginning. Before we were even born. It all started 30 years ago. April 5, 2003. a class got into an accident and when the survivors woke up, they realized something was wrong. they got powers , they got taken by scientist who started calling them the hollows. It took almost a month before they were rescued by Mr. Knight, they got taken to a secret place where they could live peacefully. that's a lie, one of the students wanted revenge and not stay hidden, so the group seperated. Every year another person got powers, and so, the search continued. But there was always one question on mr. Knight mind: Why 12 children the first time, and only one per year after that? And one thing was for sure: whenever someone gained powers, they had to give something up in return. It was never a choice. It was just the way it was. So, now that I've explained a bit about how this all started, let's fast forward to the present. It's now 2033. Mr. Knight has found 19 children, and Mr. Douglas, the leader of the other group, has found 10. That means... the 30th child is out there somewhere. Who will it be? And one more thing before I go-welcome to the world of Dark Light.

I never believed it would end like this. I was just watching Netflix when the power went out, then before I knew it everyone was screaming, then the school began to shake and fell to the ground. Only three kids in my entire school were spared, four if you count me. I found a group of people heading to the east coast for a boat trip to a supposed safe haven in India.
