Melinoe made it to college.
Nobody expected her to last that long.
But here she was, sitting in her new dorm, waiting for her roommate. 

2:15 PM
She was supposed to be here.
Melinoe needed to at least establish the boundaries of their dorm before she would let herself unpack a single piece of luggage.
2:20 PM
Would she be the type to insist upon painting their walls pink?
2:25 PM
Did everyone have an issue with just keeping their walls white?

Would this girl be the huggy or the "don't talk to me" type?

Maybe she could at least unpack her toiletries.

The door burst open then, followed by a tall girl with deep tan skin and jet black hair that fell down to her elbows.

"Melinoe! There you are. So nice to finally meet you! Oh- and sorry I'm late. Olympus had awful traffic today, and my usual winged-horse had a legendary case of morning sickness- er, nevermind." The girl babbled.

Was she teasing Melinoe? 
Or was she just in for a wacky roommate?

"Um, interesting. How do you know my name?"

"Oh, that's right!" 
The girl danced over to where Melinoe was standing from the doorway and squeezed her into a suffocating hug.

"I'm Makaria, your sister, and I'm here to escort you to Olympus!"

This is a rewrite of my previous fan fiction "Tales of Hades and Persephone" as well as some inspiration from the original myth (and perhaps other retellings I enjoy). Hades has been alone for far too long. One day he pays a visit to Zeus and requests to marry Persephone.
