After an excruciatingly painful win resulting in a broken leg, Misaki Gilmore-Sugawara and her mother, Clementine Gilmore, move to Japan so that Misaki can explore what being half-Japanese feels like in Japan. After making best friends with Yachi Hitoka, a fellow first year at Karasuno High, Misaki finds herself training with the boys volleyball team to get stronger again faster. Along the way, new bonds are made, and hidden truths will be revealed. How will Misaki cope with it all?
