“We’re a team aren’t we Lucas?”

Ashton Irwin had finished his final classes of the day as a freshman in college and Luke had just been picked up by Ashton from high school.

“Well Ash, if it wasn’t for you, I’d be… I wouldn’t be here.” Luke muttered, as Ashton hugged him from behind, resting his chin on Luke’s shoulder.

“Hey, it’s alright.” Ashton whispered in his ear, lingering a soft kiss on Luke’s cheek.

Ashton really did love Luke, no matter what anyone said. There was always going to be people to judge their relationship, including friends and family, but Ashton and Luke both got used to the fact and tried moving on.

Anyone who didn’t support their love wasn’t worthy of their time.

And in the end, they always had each other, because they’re a team, and a team ever lets its members down.
