I love the Gregor the Overlander series, but like many wasn't satisfied with the ending. This is effectively an epilogue of Gregor's eventual return to the Underland.
Four years have passed since Gregor slayed the Bane and left the Underland. But the memories of his adventures haunt him. Gregor has moved to Virginia and longs to be back in the Underland. He feels out of place in the Overland now. He wants to be back flying on bats and training in the arena. Most of all, he wants to be back with Luxa, and he might just get get that chance.
This is also going to be set in 2020, I know the books were set in the early 2000's but it is to hard to write from a time where I was really young and don't remember so...

Only Lizzie can help him when the visions plague him and she's never there in time. Finally his parents decide to allow him a short visit back to Regalia, but when he returns it seems the prophecies are not through with him yet. But she and Gregor are destined to be key players in another prophecy, this one about an ominous white rat called the Bane. The Underlanders know that there's only one way that Gregor will come back: if they kidnap his little sister, Boots. The quest reunites Gregor with Belle, Luxa, and his new bond, Ares. They descend into the deadly Waterway in search of the Bane. If Belle and Gregor do not fulfill the prophecy, their lives, and the Underland, will never be the same.Complete

It had been 5 years, 9 months and 10 days since Gregor had left the underground world named the Underland. Gregor returns to the Underland for good unaware of the new prophecy.
