This poem is for all the people who think they're not good enough when looking into a mirror.It's a poem about a person suffering from Body Dysmorphic Disorder(BDD). I have people around me who think fairness is beauty, being lean is the perfect figure, having a pimple meant you had to claw your face off. And this poem is a message for all of those people

You be me. I'll be you. ~Reflections Mirror, use at own risk~ When nothing is perfect, and all you want is change. This mirror will give you the opportunity to swap lives with your reflection, who looks just like you but may turn out to be your polar opposite. You get one week to decide whether you will stay or whether you will go back to your original life. Safety In Numbers ( BWWM) On HOLD
I've been bullied since as long as I can remember. Dark skin is so this or so that. And it seemed to get worse when I gained weight. "Now not only is she dark, she's fat too!" I couldn't escape it even if I tired. I even attempted to commit suicide. Sitting in the bathtub with nothing but pills a razor and social media looking at all the people that hate you would do that. I tried to make it go away, Lord knows but he had a blessing coming for me. I just had to wait. But I knew even in my waiting it was going to be an uphill battle. Will I win the battle?Complete
It does get better.
People say it will get better. But to be fair, most of them never were in your place. They say you will get happy again, but how can they know? I've struggled with trauma, mental illnesses, and self harm for many years. These are (mostly) poems - about me and my journey of getting better. ! As this is about self harm and other previously mentioned topics, it might be triggering. I don't glorify it in any way, though. I'm also not a native English speaker. If you find any mistakes, please tell me so I can improve.

This is my autobiography, in a series of harsh and delicate words, painted as a story.
