Amelia and Olly are two very different people. Amelia is the daughter of a world-famous actress. Olly is a typical teenager on the outside, but has major family struggles which he keeps quiet.

When Olly decides to call Amelia after seeing her on an interview, he says some harsh words and immediately regrets them, so he writes to her apologising. It only takes a few letters sent to each other for them both to become friends.

Although they are very different, they both share an interest in the headline news story about the 'Mirror Thief' - A kidnapper who always returns his victims, but they always return in tears claiming to have lost their supposed 'twin.' The parents always say the same thing; they don't have any brothers or sisters.

But when Amelia's mother finds out exactly who her new 'pen-pal' is, she starts acting strange.
Are Amelia and Olly really strangers, or did they know each other once, and will their interest in the Mirror Thief become deadly to them...
