The year is 1939, and World War Two is about to begin. Two childhood friends, Oikawa Tōru and Sugawara Koushi, have been drafted for war. One is a pilot, and the other is a medic.
When the pilot is injured, and ends up in a certain medic's hospital, they are stuck between professionalism and friendship.
