//"Are you ready?" Titanium breathed out.
I wasn't sure what he was implying I was ready for and before I could string together a sentence to ask him what he meant, his hand snaked around my waist and he held me tight, close to his chest.
Titanium scooped me up as though I was as light as a feather and rocketed into the sky. I let out a high pitched squeal, my adrenaline pumping. My emotions were a mix of excitement and fear.
He wrapped his wings around us and started to spin around really fast making me slightly dizzy. He continued to twirl, slowing down and I noticed the symbols on his wings begin to glow creating a halo around us, like he'd accomplished something.
He started to loosen his wings grip around us as he started his journey down to the seemingly awaiting crowd.//

"Are you coming to bed firefly?" He says to me laying his hands over my waist joining me in looking over the city. "I want to look out for a little longer if that is alright?" I mumble hoping that he heard me anyways, I wasn't ready to walk into that bedroom, and I don't think I ever would be. "Of course, I'll be getting ready for bed, come in whenever you are ready." He says confidently and walks away leaving my waist cold something for which I am grateful. Especially when my mind burns with other more dangerous thoughts. The warmth that forever lingers in the air, never burning the skin, but always reminding about what is around us. I force air into my lungs feeling the unexpected warmth fill me. He stands in the room watching me even though he said he was getting ready for bed. He is worried about me, about me jumping. I have contemplated it I will admit, but he would stop me before I fell even two feet. I was stuck, and no one could save me. Not even myself, my fucking weak self. His presence is demanding no matter where we are, but right now I could sense everything about him, and I try to suppress the unwanted feelings that curl right under my skin. "Firefly? About done?" He calls out and I release my hand from the guard rail not realizing that as I looked at the lights that covered the shining city with the falling fire in the background that my subconscious was thinking about how nice it would be... how relieving it would be... to just fall. True freedom. I take a step back and wrap my hands together turning around to a fully clothed unchanged man and nod once. I could see the fear in his eyes that I would, he knows if he gave me the chance... I wasn't ready for this, but I had to survive. No matter what. New beginnings are often great things, but sometimes shadows from the distant past come calling. Excerpt: I braced my feet against the wall as I pulled. Suddenly, the lever swung downward. I lost my grip and tumbled backward. I landed on my side and slid across the counter. My legs and tail flailed as I tried to get to my feet or slow down-but I didn't manage it in time. Almost in slow motion, my feet went off the counter as I slid into the air. Without thinking, my wings popped open and beat hard as I twisted, trying to turn right side up so I could fly properly. I blinked in shock when I realized I was already flying upward. Grinning triumphantly, I beat my wings again and went back to the counter. Pleased with my flying abilities, I proudly landed on the counter - and forgot to slow down, which promptly sent me sliding across the slippery surface, lightly colliding with the glass door. I ducked my head sheepishly, glad no one else had seen that. My eyes locked onto the gap between the glass doors. With an eager grin, I pressed my shoulder against the edge and pushed. My feet struggled to find traction, but it was opening! Once I pushed the door far enough, I scampered over to the cantaloupe. It was much bigger up close. I blinked slowly, trying to think about how I was going to move it. There was no way I'd be able to lift it. It was round though. Round things could roll, right?Complete

She didn't want to look at it, and she still wasn't sure she wouldn't rather take her chances with the open air instead. "Stop it, I'm not going to hurt you! You'll hit your head on the rock or something. Wren, please!" It knew her name. Somehow it knew her. She was going to die! "Let me go! Stop touching me!" She was sitting on the rocky floor now with her back against an uneven wall, and it was trying to pin her down and hold her still. She kept her eyes turned away and struggled helplessly, but it was no use. It was strong like a human man too, and she couldn't keep it off of her. The wings had moved until they curved around them both and shut out a lot of the light. Its face was so near hers that she could feel its breath brushing against her skin. "Please just look at me for a second. Just look. I'm not going to hurt you." One of the hands grabbed her chin and forced her head to turn, and then she was looking straight into a pair of dark brown eyes. It had a human face too. She had been expecting something monstrous or ghastly, and the surprise made her falter for a moment. He looked young, with a bad haircut and an earnest expression on his face. "I'll let go of you, okay? Just don't lunge around like that anymore, you'll get hurt." He whispered.Complete

I'm hovering over the floor. Rail grabs my hand, and the shock brings me back to him. I lower myself and let go of him. "I will stay until the thief is found. Then I must return to the True One's heaven." I try to smile at Rail to calm him. It works. His green eyes linger on me as I walk away from the balcony and return to the gathering. *** After meeting Jay, Sarah's father is killed, which causes her to accidentally tap into unknown powers. He had jet black hair and stood a few inches taller than his friend; his face was scruffy with stubble that probably hadn't been shaved for a few weeks. His eyes were steel blue, and the pierced into mine and looked passed all guards I had put up. That man was strong, inside and out. The girl was only slightly taller than me, but the resemblance stopped there. Her hair was a dark ginger with strands of blonde, her eyes were golden brown, and her body was perfectly curvy. I couldn't help but watch as she twists and sat with her beautiful curves folding over on themselves. Her breasts were large pillows that I wanted to sleep on, and her wide hips dramatically lead to a tightened stomach. Her body looked soft, and I wondered what her thick thighs would feel like under me. I shook my head, bringing myself back to reality. These were my kidnappers; they stole me away from school and were probably going to do terrible things to me with the sick way they looked at me all the time. "Are yo-you going to kill me?"
