Anette just landed an amazing new job as a personal assistant to an architecture firm's CEO. Its hard work and her new boss is standoffish and a little intimidating. There's something off about him, but she can't quite put her finger on it. Strange people start showing up for unplanned meetings with her boss, and an unexplainable death launches the company into the news, it becomes impossible for her not to snoop. Just a little bit.
But curiosity killed the cat, and it looks like it might get her killed too. She's just placed herself in the middle of a centuries-long feud and can't seem to find the exit.
Throw in a crazed ex, a little magic, and her own hidden origins and we've got an epic tale of betrayal, death, and love.
