Robin Bishop never really wished for anything much. Just the usual stuff that normal teenagers asked for: better clothes, chicken, a friend and more chicken. 
Living in Hypaxia, where the government controlled everything from people to number of toilet rolls in your bathroom, The Hypaxia Establishment is a freakishly controlling pain in the ass. With the help of the serum aka SC-013, every citizen could see only the people that are assigned to them by the government. And so nineteen year old Robin can only ever see the same six people for the rest of her life.
So what does it mean when an unknown boy around her age suddenly pops up in her bedroom. A seventh person. Someone not even her parents or her best friend can see. 
Is he a mistake somehow made by the government?
