Georgia Hill is a sixteen year old junior in high school who never expected how much work it was going to be to be head cheerleader. But no one had ever turned down an offer to be team captain, especially not a junior. It was supposed to be a great opportunity.

All of a sudden, she had to hide under a facade of who she really was and be everything everyone else wanted her to be.

From pretending to be the classic mean girl to her friends, to striving to be the perfect student for her dad. All the while battling nightmares from a accident 3 years ago that had stolen her mother from her.

Feeling trapped in her own life, it is a breath of fresh air and a welcome distraction when Aaron Crawford transfers into her school.

Seventeen year old Aaron Crawford has just transferred into Alderman High. When a group English essay brings him and Georgia together, there is nothing anyone can do to stop the immediate attraction.

In between after-school meet ups to work on their project, Aaron begins to see the storm that rages beneath the surface. Together, he and Georgia try to muddle through their feelings for each other and the modern torture that is high school.

"No one knows what was done to me this summer. And no one will ever find out. They wouldn't understand... My own parents don't even understand... No one knows and no one saw.... or so I thought." Iyana Bright is a 17 year old, high school girl who goes through a horrifically violent experience during her summer break, but a spiked drink leaves her memory in a haze. Through the new school year as a senior, she deals with bouts of PTSD, anxiety, and depression as the memories of her ordeal haunt her every waking moment. Until the new girl, Jules; who also happens to be her next door neighbor, enters her life. Jules, also a 17 year old senior, has demons of her own to fight. With no mother in the picture, a suspiciously angsty college brother, and an abusive father who can't keep his anger in check, she carries a little secret of her own that could either make or break Iyana's traumatic grief. What will these two find waiting at the end of their journey; one happy ending... or an ending for one?
