"Need I remind you of your place here." He said sternly with a threat in his tone of voice that would scare any normal person into submission.

"No need father, I am well aware." To my satisfaction, he didn't reply with any words but with a swift motion, he waved his large hand in the air telling me I was dismissed. That was all I needed to know that if I said anything else to annoy him he'd throw me on my ass. He was like that.

Without saying a word or making a sound I left, as soon as I was out of the office my lungs deflated and my shoulders faltered a bit. The air there was always suffocating. I can't stand it. I picked myself up and started on my way to my chambers, as I walked the only sound filling the halls was the clicking of my heels. Empty.
