Crystal Black isn't normal at out, but at her new school she is completely normal. You see, Crystal goes to a school with all kinds of supernatural students. At AngelBird Academy it isn't unusual for Zeus to be your Principal, Neptune as your swim teacher.
Crystal becomes friends with a boy her age, Jace who is the son of the archangel Micheal. She ends up befriending Berman Mau, who is the Cat from the Chinese Zodiac.
Crystal tries to work through school but also sneaks to learn about what and who she really is, But she can only do so if she asks for help, will she?
She does become friends with pretty much everyone, but nobody knows who her family really is, and she'd prefer it to be like that. She is related to... Well Nah, you gotta read the book to know ;)
