Really, she is. At school she keeps to herself, reads her books, talks to a few friends, and manages to never draw a bit of attention to herself. Practically a ghost among the living.

A dream, honestly. 

Forrest Whitley is not fine.

His mom left and his dad is miserable. His sister is two and his beloved dog is seventeen. Wheezy. On the brink...

Plus there are bullies (because why not?) and then this weird girl comes along, Ada, who watches those ridiculous teen dramas and latches onto him like velcro.
