Two new players join the Ducks, both of which were previously Hawks. One is a jerk well known -- and hated -- by the District 5 team. The other is a steadfast girl, kind, but still a Hawk, an enemy in the Ducks' eyes.

Willow Pearson is a Hawk who is deeply passionate about playing hockey; however, she isn't necessarily welcomed by the Coach, nor the players, on her team.
Willow lives in Diana, Minnesota; she's childhood friends with her neighbor, Adam Banks. Adam is her only friend on the Hawks; at least, the only one who tolerates her.
If anyone ever asked her, Willow would tell them that she would have rather been on any other team.
Even if that team was District 5.
