Joe Toye is a stereotypical patriot, he was a CIA agent and believed what he was doing was right. The choices he made were hard ones, but they made life better for millions of people, and that was what mattered. He was upstanding. Perfect, even, not a misdemeanor to his name, but one mistake can raze even the strongest walls.

George Luz is his opposite in every way possible. A former Marine, Luz did things people can only have nightmares about, and he did them in the name of the U.S. government, a sentiment he has long since abandoned. Now he's one of America's most notorious and elusive criminals. He doesn't believe in mistakes; things may not go according to plan, but that doesn't mean he's about to mark it down as a failure.

The Doctor Of East Hadena [MXM] [SERIAL KILLER] ✓ by alydae
44 parts Complete Mature
Camilo Carter is The Doctor of East Hadena, one of the deadliest serial killers the city has ever seen. He's excellent at what he does, with no signs of getting caught any time soon. He thinks he has it all figured out, sees himself as almost bulletproof. He's never slipped up, never come remotely close. Camilo is untouchable. That is, until the really hot lead investigator of his case moves in across the hall. ~ "Perfect," he tells me, tone low. My heart practically stops beating in my chest. "I meant you're perfect." Decari doesn't know. He has no idea how untrue that is, how far off. He doesn't know, and he can't know. He can't ever fucking find out! He just can't, and I'm terrified that if I let this continue any longer... I'll get too comfortable. Too secure. I can never allow myself to doubt his loyalty to the law. If I'm to give in, I need to promise myself that. I take a step forward, and we're so close like this that I can feel the heat of his body. I finally move my gaze up to his eyes, which look a lot darker like this. He is entirely focused on me, and I don't think he even realizes he does it, but his hand drops from my face and finds its way to my hip a moment later. The world seems to disappear as I look into his eyes, deciding to warn him one last time. "You'll change your mind." ~ [WARNINGS: smut, gore, some heavy topics like torture and sexual assault, morally grey characters (the usual)(I mean it's a book about a serial killer..)]

Gunner (EDITED/REWRITTEN)

38 parts Complete Mature

A HEA second chance comedy/action-packed/adventure sports romance story. Gunner wasn't looking for love; he was on a mission to find justice for his murdered father and fiancée. Then, one night at the least expected place, a beautiful young woman caught his eye. After meeting and getting to know Aria, he saw something in her that attracted him more to her. So, on top of doing what he's been trying to accomplish. Gunner was also on a mission to get Aria to discover who she indeed was. Gunner noticed that Aria was portraying herself as a woman she wasn't-someone she thought others around her wanted her to be. But, while helping Aria find herself, he realized that he, too, was hiding behind his thick, tough skin. They were also learning together how to use mind over matter and willpower-something Gunner always thought he had. Using discipline and punishment was their way of growing stronger as a person-together. Credit for cover: selfpubbookcovers.com/kshipley
