Antoinette "Annie" Stuart was like any normal teenager...until light started to shoot from her hands and she could turn on the light without touching its switch. After seeing all of the youtube videos of Spider-Man, maybe she could become like him; sneaking out of the apartment and fighting crime in the dark alleys of New York. She then became Luminescence, a new mystical figure to the public.
