When Lionel Rodriguez was born, his mother knew he was destined to be a Hunter of Shadows like his dad, but she refused. She kept him at home while homeschooling him and not letting him know anything about the Hunters. One day, his dad was out at, what Lionel believed, "work", his dad was diagnosed with leukemia. He was kept in the house with Lionel which made him very very pale. A few weeks later he died. That's when he met his first Hunter and his life changed.
