A motivational speaker is generally hired to motivate to inspire a group of people. This is the definition of a professional motivational speaker. Dr. James Harden says there can be different types of motivational speakers. Motivational speakers are also different from inspirational speakers. Saying this as there lies a fundamental difference between motivation and inspiration.
