Only very few can resist it. This story takes place fifty years after the governments of the world created the Darwin Initiative. An idea that allows for students to kill each other. But in the 50th year, the year this story is set, teachers can now kill students and vice versa. At the end of a year, the teams must elect their best player to fight in a battle Royale against other team representatives. The battle Royale lasts for up to five days. The survivors may graduate or pass to the next year, if they do not survive; the rest of the team will be held back. But some players, may go lone wolf. Follow Jason Walker, a young talented writer whom has advanced skill with any knife, and his comrades in their journey through the eight grade. This group's name is the Joking Corpses. The JC contain three of the best fighters in the nation. Mia Fall, an Apex Predator, Jason Walker, a Clawed Predator, And Kai Gracefield, a Wolf in sheep's clothing. I was slowly losing consciousness, but my mind never seemed happier now that I was dying. The white walls with big bright lights did not resemble heaven; in fact, it was quite the opposite. I thought I had died. When I came to, I found myself in this strange place, disoriented and confused. I looked around and found another five pairs of eyes looking at me with the same emotion swirling in their gaze. Now, 15 years later, I train with these girls. Our makers take care of us, feed us, and make sure we are clean, healthy, and fit. Some of us never had that; that's probably why it took so long for us to realize we were being used. The dirty work they made us do, none of us questioned it. How could we when we were taken off the streets? For a chance at normalcy, we settled for anything, even if that meant blurring the lines of right and wrong.
