She stands alone, by the back wall but to her she is the center of attention in the middle of the room. She has been alone all of her life, by choice. She loves to be alone but lately she's been feeling alone, which is different. Taking her head out of the clouds she looks around the room dismissing the images she sees immediately. Mature teenagers, young adults, and seniors swiftly moving around one another in perfect harmony to the sophisticated music playing in the background.
She's in love. Well she was, so she believed. At her age love was all kisses and smiles, but everyone knows that's not what love is.
For this girl it is too late. It is too late for her because she is dead, but she finds someone and she regrets her death.
