Macie Grey lives in a society where Shifters, like herself, are outcasts in society. Though they make up around a quarter of the total population, humans see them as freaks, and they are treated like vermin. The Shifters are forced to choose to be the normally peaceful people they are, or finally make a stand for themselves. Which will they choose? And what is Macie to make of rumors of an underground rebellion? Though she hasn't Shifted yet, what happens when she does and finds herself trapped in a world on the brink of change?
