John Hills has nothing but minimum clothes and a small bag. He recalls his life as a child, before everything went downhill. He was always a sneaky, ill-tempered trouble-maker as a child. At 15, he and his siblings are in a care home. John unexpectedly runs away, and he starts living rough on the streets. Soon, he meets a girl called Stella and they become firm friends. They soon find the 'missing pieces in the jigsaw puzzle' and discover something that will change both of their lives forever.
