Every person is born with a mark, much like a birthmark, that matches their soulmate's. They are also born with a word on their forehead that only they can see, a word that lays the foundation for who you will become and how others are meant to view you.
However, what happens when someone is born without a mark identifying their soulmate? What happens if someone is deemed unlovable?

In this society, everyone has a soulmate. And the way to find yours is just look. Along with a soulmate, everyone has a small tattoo on their cheek with a symbol. Some could be a star, a flower, a yinyang, a fish, or even waves. There are so many people that the symbols are almost limitless. The tattoos don't care about gender or number. There could be gay matches, and there could even be polyamorous matches. The tattoos will tingle when you are near to your sm. And they will glow if you have found only one of your sm's if your match was poly. The trick is, you don't get the tattoo until you are 16.
