The Caster family was quite dysfunctional. Business was family, and family was buisness. Everyone had a part on their tycoon. They were largely dysfunctional, but their buisness ran very well. The family was very prosperous. I, Claude Leblanc Caster, am the son of Annalise Renée Caster. Her husband, supposedly my father, started this tycoon. He died when my younger sister was only 5. He never saw the buisness prosper. My mother took over the business, and ran it better than he ever could. After Louisiana was integrated into the United States, my mother lost a lot of her rights, making it hard for her to continue to make business deals in New Orleans. Me being the eldest son, she sent me to New Orleans to socialize and make buisness deals. Throughout this story you'll follow my recluse brother, my uptight sister, and the Lander family. Also, did I mention we're vampires?

I stared into his dark eyes and l saw a complete stranger. I couldn't recognise the person he had become. The eyes that once sparkled with unbridled joy were now a cold, empty and emotionless pit. The teenage boy l once knew six years ago was gone. The boy who once couldn't stand to see me hurt in any way. The same boy who had kissed me as if his next breath depended on me. The same boy who had defied our families to be with me. In his place was now a cold business man whose name was feared in the business world. I blinked back tears as l stared into his unrecognizable eyes. I had made him that way. My betrayal had killed something inside him. We were still teenagers back then, but we had hurt each other so much and l doubt if we could ever recover from it. Cover credits goes @xxinloves (Complete)
