Words are powerful. If you turn a blind eye then you are just as guilty as the one who commits the crime. Drew is on a mission of self-discovery. Her journey embarks on matters she has taken to heart and one she cannot seem to avoid. The hate crimes and racism she and the rest of her family and friends face daily. It is until she decides she has had enough and that she cannot sit and watch while the ones she cares for are being tormented by the police ─ until one faithful night everything changed. . . A series of the poems I made in 2018, the year a lot of things changed for me and those around me. It's the year I forgot how to breathe, but also the one where I slowly found myself again and learned to be who I am.

STORY ARE FOR MATURE AUDIENCES ONLY! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 𝗘𝗬𝗘𝗦 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗟𝗟 𝗢𝗡 𝗨𝗦... It's easy to love someone when things are perfect and everything's wonderful. But, to love someone when things are difficult, when they're not being perfect, when they're messing up, flaws are seen, mistakes are made...that's what really allow you to see how much love there is really. Anyone can love someone who doing and saying all the right things, being everything you want and need, when they're got it all together and it all figured it out. But, to love someone at their lowest, to love someone despite how broken they feel, when they're lost, when you're willing to stand by them no matter how challenging or difficult things may be, that kind of love is a lot more beautiful. That kind of love is a lot more meaningful. Thank you for loving me both times when things are good and bad, up and down.
