Midnight Coffee
Nico works night shifts at a 24/7 coffee shop by himself since nights are slow. He's also full-time at college, when he's 'working', he has the opportunity to do homework; however, he prefers to just read. He never told people about his sexuality (for personal reasons) until it was suddenly revealed in front of one person: his acquaintance, Jason. Not even Nico's sister knew yet, but now he is forced to deal with this friend of a friend, who knows his secret. At work one night, he and his mythology book are interrupted by someone actually coming into the shop. Who could need a coffee at midnight? Midnight Coffee shares its storyline with my book Coffee at Midnight, these are written to play with different perspectives in storytelling. Midnight Coffee was written first, is told strictly from Nico's perspective, and has a cast of Percy Jackson characters. Coffee at Midnight is told strictly from Will's perspective, has a cast of Magnus Chase characters, and includes bonus scenes between the two. These stories are set in a world with no gods or demigods. Will and Nico were both born in the mid-90s (this story is set in 2015). These are fanfiction based on the Percy Jackson franchise. Nico Di Angelo's school is taking the whole junior year on a trip to Greece. Following the no gender mingling school policy, Nico groups with his best buds Percy Jackson and Jason Grace. All is well and good before Will Solace joins their bubble. Nico gets a strange, tingly, ticklish feeling in his stomach when he's around Will. It doesn't help when they have to pair off to explore the Parthenon and Percy and Jason take off, leaving Nico alone with Will. It also doesn't help when the two boys decide to share a bed at the hotels. Everyone Deserves to be Happy (Solangelo)
Percy finds out about Nico's crush earlier than planned. And it's on neither of their terms. Until Percy gives him some good advice. Advice Nico takes to heart. But a demigod's life is never easy, and with a new prophecy and a new quest even darker forces are looming over the horizon, threatening to destroy the sunshine that Nico and another half-blood we all thought was gone have finally found. Placed during very beginning of Blood of Olympus/ between House of Hades and Blood of Olympus at the beginning. Then it switches to the end of Blood of Olympus. This is a solangelo story line. If you have not read Blood of Olympus, or do not ship solangelo, then I kindly ask you to reconsider your life choices. And then go do those things. I tried to stay true to the characters, I really truly did. If you're reading and you think I did something wrong, please let me know (but. you know. kindly.).
