Tough-as-old-leather-boots Corinthia is not as invincible as she likes to think. Her life, warped and fractured, is tearing apart at the seams.

Cracks are slowly appearing in her carefully crafted mask, a mask she has never lowered for another soul.

An abusive dad, a rich friend who will do anything to be emancipated, a hostile and unforgiving community and a powerful soul mate who's less than impressed, may be enough to crush her will to survive.

Add in the stress of being a Were who hasn't Phased, and therefore not accepted by her pack, the reality of her hopelessness is starting to push her over the edge.

Corinthia is breaking apart and with no-one there to catch her and pick up the pieces she may never get up.
