City Wizards.
Wizards in big cities who wear skinny jeans and flannel.
Who make pencils or pens out of their wands só they can hide them in plain sight.
Who get into back alley fights and charm guys harassing girls into having blue skin for the next week.
Who keep their cats in their pet-free flats by transfiguring them whenever their landlord stops in.
Who do street performances and participate in kids' parties for money and wink at little kids when they pocket their wands.
Who exchange secret smiles whenever they pass each other.
 City. Wizards.

Liz Campbell seems to be a normal young woman who studies at Cambridge University and works at a bookshop on her breaks. And, sometimes, she's an entertainer at kids' parties.
But she usually leaves her flat at night, always carries with her a silver Parker pen, has a black and white cat called Mistoffelees (but nobody knows about it) and gets into a lot of street fights.

Lawrence Chambers is a young business man with a normal life. Well, until some street gang mistakes him for his drug dealer and he gets into some trouble. But he's saved by a mysterious girl, who has a strange silver pen, a cat (although her flat is pet-free), lots of problems with her toasty thing (toaster) and amazing violet eyes...

The Last Knights of Cambria Book 1: Echoes of Gideon von kullman
16 Kapitel Abgeschlossene Geschichte
Gideon Saint is dying for something exciting to happen in his life. With his love of history, he figures an internship at the museum has to be a good start, right? Anything is better than listening to his parents argue or sitting alone in his room doing research no one but him seems to care about. A chance encounter with a magical ring leaves him transported to an alternate version of ancient Wales, or as it was sometimes called, Cambria. 1432 Wales, to be exact. Here magic is the most powerful weapon of all as kings vie for power. Good thing Gideon's teleportation from the present has also left him with the ability to use magic, and he's quickly regarded as a powerful wizard. In this timeline, Wales maintained it's independence, but that's about to change. Henry V is on the throne of the England, and the greatest warrior king England has ever had has set his sights on Wales. Can Gideon help save his newfound friends and master his new powers, while living a double life in the 21st century? Ahem, living people die, dying people live, Henry V is here and he's awesome despite being the main antagonist, everybody is vaguely gay, swords are described in loving detail, people are not, lovely platonic friendships, did we mention swords? Yes, you may learn something about history, but that's a risk you'll have to take. Basically, think of this as a Percy Jackson type of adventure, but it's historical fiction instead of Greek gods. The narrator is 15 and the major supporting characters are 14, 17, and 19. That said, there's nothing in the way of content that's inappropriate for a younger reader. As always if you're not here to go on a fun little adventure find a different story. Trigger/Content: very mild language, some magic violence, fantasy violence. Self-harm is briefly discussed. Adoption issues are discussed as well as brief scenes of a abusive family. Characters briefly mention crushes and or dating, no real innuendos.

23 Kapitel Abgeschlossene Geschichte
Janus Viper was once a handsome king, a cruel ruler that ruled his Kingdom with an iron fist. Even though he had everything he ever wanted since he was born (except, perhaps, love) he taxed his people relentlessly in order to fill his castle with the most beautiful objects, and his parties with the most powerful people. One day, a weak and homeless old man visits Janus, seeking shelter from the storm. Janus turns the man away, repulsed by his appearance, and as punishment, a curse is placed on Janus and his castle. Janus is turned into a monster, with six arms, claws, venomous fangs, and scales covering half of his body. The servants of the castle and all his guests were turned into furniture, as punishment for sitting by and doing nothing while the Prince grew into the cruel King he is today. However, there is a cure for the curse. If Janus can learn to truly love another and be loved in return, the curse will be cured. As the years went by, the castle and everyone in it became forgotten, and Janus lost hope. For who could ever love someone as cold and monstrous as him? Meanwhile, in a small village nearby, a Wizard named Logan Foster is looked down on by his town for his startling intelligence, difficulty in social situations, and his practices of magic. That doesn't deter Roman Prince from attempting to court Logan, however, because even if he is odd, Logan is the most handsome man in the village, and Roman has always enjoyed a challenge. Not wishing for his son to be alone, Patton Foster agrees to give Roman his blessing. Logan, who doesn't wish to get married, runs away from home. He plans to build a cabin in the forest and live the rest of his days there, but instead he finds a castle, where he is invited to stay as a guest. (Yes changing the captive part you're welcome) He isn't sure yet who the Castle's Master is, but based on the talking furniture that allowed him to stay here, he assumes it's a fellow Wizard. Her Mum constantly works to make ends meet, which means Marla has to put up with gossipy old Bev keeping an eye on her and noisy little half-sister Ribbon. If that wasn't bad enough, her exam results are in... and they aren't good. But at least she has her friends. Asher, the responsible and strong boy who has known her all her life and Ed, the orphaned rebel who loves to stir up trouble. Then there's her, Marla, stubborn, fiery and just plain lost. Or hurt her? When the bored trio decide to teach the creepy old man it's rude to scare young girls, they learn far too late just how crucial it is to respect your elders. Bridget has sent them back in time, all the way to World War Two, throwing them into a secret fight for the survival of all magical folk in the world. Marla soon learns what it really means to be a True, and the power her absent father has kept from her all her life... Marla, Ed and Asher are thrown into a world they and their generation have no comprehension of, a world where love is a relic of a life left behind and your only duty is sacrificing all that you have. These three friends are about to learn about a side of World War Two that never made the history books. ***I can't take credit for the artwork, it's called A BREAK IN REALITY and it's by the AMAZINGLY talented Xenobyte on deviantart. Blaise and you never had a soft spot for one another but in your sixth year everything suddenly takes a turn. A love story between the hopeless romantic and the black cat. insights: "...Your compliments are anything but ordinary." I couldn't hold my tongue. "You are anything but ordinary." Blaise regards me with a skeptical look. "Is that supposed to be a good thing or a bad thing?" "You can choose for yourself," I say, standing up. It's bedtime now and we have to get to our dorms, "but I'd always take it as a good thing," that's the last thing I say, before leaving him at the bench, baffled. Blaise watches me as I make my way downstairs, a hint of confusion on his face. "Of course, leave it open to interpretation..." he mutters under his breath. "What are you really after, Z?" His voice a low rumble in the quiet room. I just softly breathe against his lips, "kiss me." Blaise closes the remaining distance, the moment our lips meet feels as if a hidden tension evaporates. The kiss filled with an unexpected intensity. Rather than pulling apart, we both deepen the connection, kissing each other again and again. Tongues engage in a heated, yet tender dance, expressing unspoken emotions. His hands trace a tantalizing path down my back and along the contours of my curves, a shiver runs through me.... Bathsheba is on the hunt. As a witch's familiar, Bathsheba has duties to fulfill. The most sacred of these is the protection of her companion. While Bathsheba was cat napping in the sun her owner, Emilia, vanished. Bathsheba looked in all of the usual places. She checked the bedroom, the sun room, the laboratory. Emilia was simply gone. She waited for her to return all day and when she did not come home the following morning, Bathsheba knew that something was very, very wrong. So, she set out on a search of the city in hopes of finding her owner. Bathsheba looked in every nook and cranny that a cat could reach without even a sniff or a sign of where Emilia went. Just as she is about to give up, she happens upon a place that smells so strongly of magic that it calls out to her. It is a charming little shop tucked into an unlikely spot between two skyscrapers in the middle of downtown. Traveling up the path to the front door will lead Bathsheba on an adventure that will take her through the city and introduce her to Rhiannon, a newly minted witch, who has only just learned what she can do and has no ability to control it. Deciding to join forces, the two of them hunt for Emilia together. Along the way, they will overcome challenges not meant for a 16 year old girl and a cat to endure but what they will find in their search is pure magic.
