"Hey guys look, footprints!" Rixie pointed out. "Let's follow it", she added.
"Hey guys, this is where the side characters died at a horror movie, when they follow the footprints", Jazz laughed awkwardly.
"Come on, we're not in a movie. Plus, there's nothing dangerous-looking thing here", Carlos replied.
"If you die, I'll laugh", Jazz spatted.
We all agreed to follow the footprints and it led us to a ruined spaceship.
"A-E-C-I-E-44", Luke read the label as he dusted off the door of the ruined spaceship.
"A-E-what!?" I exclaimed.
"A-E-C-I-E-44", Luke repeated.
I immediately ran to check the label.
"Why? Is there something wrong?" Carlos asked as he took a picture of the label.
"It's Haleman's ship", I answered.
There was a long silence between us, we all just stared at each other.
A few seconds later, Jazz broke the silence, "Wait.. Did we just found the planet DYDX?"

I spring towards the house phone, dusty from years of doing absolutely nothing, so I can call the police. I don't make it. Halfway there, I trip on my own pant-leg and face plant on the floor. The woman steps over me and retrieves the phone. She looks at it as if it's a foreign object, "This won't be necessary. All I want to do is talk to you." For some reason, instead of screaming, I stay silent. She smiles and pulls out a chair from the kitchen table for me to sit on. When I don't sit, she says, "If you want to know what's going on, then sit." I think about it for a moment. She hasn't hurt me yet, and I have to admit, I am quite curious as to what's going on. Kale had been out taking his dog out for a final bathroom break before heading to bed when he saw it. A ball of light flashed brightly in the sky followed by a crashing sound only seconds later. It hadn't hit too far from his grandmother's house he was looking after for the weeks coming. He had taken the dog back inside and grabbed a hoodie from the coat rack. It wasn't strange for him to take late night walks when he was visiting. He headed toward where he was sure he'd find the meteor thinking it'd make a pretty cool decoration for his coffee table. As he walked toward it he couldn't help but notice how quiet the night had gotten. There wasn't even the usual crickets or frogs chirping. That was when he heard it. A guttural cry of something nearby, he wasn't sure if it was an animal at first but by the end of the sound, he was sure it was a man. He hurried his pace regretting having left his cell phone on the counter by the door. Hoping he wasn't going to find someone seriously injured or even dead. A current original work in progress an adventure inspired by Mass Effect and Star Trek (which will become more evident in later chapters) started out as a Black Panther fan fiction in the early stages but evolved into my own story before I started writing.
