World War Three sent the world into turmoil for over forty years. Nothing was off limits for the war; the stops that were bombs, guns, robots, lasers, biological warfare, and all unbelievable technologies were all pulled out. Nothing was left. Two-thirds of the population was gone. The land was in pitiful disrepair. After the war, the planet is set in disarray. Everyone was impoverished - except for a few. Those are the ones that have agreed to the grand monarchy in which the Queen rules absolutely over everything. Every word that escapes her mouth is law, and that law is obeyed by all the inhabitants of Earth. She lives in lavish luxury, and she's not too shabby to her friends and supporters.
As a result of the war, people were biologically altered to be super-soldiers. They were given unimaginable powers, but were left otherwise human. After the war, these altered humans were let out into the world. They had relationships and kids with normal humans, and their children gained their powers. Now, there are entire races of people - although small - with those powers. The Queen wants all that power at her beck and call; they're being hunted.
Along comes nomad Sage Venn, one of the Altered. She isn't even a normal Altered One; she has all of the powers instead of just one or two - including the most deadly of them all. She comes across Caine in the woods, who takes her to a safe compound for Altered Ones. From there, everything changes from run-of-the-mill crazy to absolutely insane. After discovering her powers, nearly everyone at the compound hates her, except for Noah, one of the higher-ups in the compound, Cat, a nurse on the compound, Hanson, the boss on the compound, the twins, who are just kids, and maybe even Caine. Even then, danger lurks around every corner.
Then, when Sage and some of her fellow compound mates get captured on a raid, things go really insane.Todos los derechos reservados
