Sybil has woken up from a few lifetimes of sleep, everyone still alive in the world has. Or so they were told. In this short story form of the longer version (still in progress) the people now on Terra Firma were lied to. Lied to about what happened, lied to about how long ago it happened, and lied about who survived. Leave me a comment on what you thought about the basis of the plot line! Gracias- (thanks!) Luna Vis woke up one morning, or rather one night, to the dim light of the moon. It was a day that started like any other, but turned out unlike any other, setting off the chain reaction that set her life ablaze for a second time. For six years she had lived a new normal after her life was uprooted, but now everything was on the cusp of changing again. Almost exactly six years prior, the world as it was had changed entirely for half of the world. And over a century prior to that, the world had burned. The world burned in silver and in gold, and out of the ashes rose a phoenix: a new dawn for civilization. New cities, new ideas. New weapons. New... insurance policies. Now Luna and her friends are learning first hand what being on the front lines of a war is like. Now they are finally learning what it was the government had kept so secret for six years. Now it is all up to them, but more specifically, up to Luna to stop The Eye and the White Sand from ruining everything. Only months away from her sixteenth birthday, she is handed a purpose that may just be worth a sacrifice. Soon the world will be normal... whatever she chooses that to be.
