"An Eaver? How the hell are you even standing?"
The setting is the middle of the 17th century. London had recently been cursed with its second plague of the millennium. The death toll continues to rise. The crime continues to increase. The trust continues to break.
And that's just the living.
For the Kindred of London, you could argue that it's worse.
Keeping the secret that binds life and death over the years had been difficult for those who stayed in London during the increase of housing. Tighter spaces meant it was harder to fit through. More people meant it was harder to blend in. However, now that the Great Plague of London had struck once again, the line between safety and secrecy had become much more blurred.
Isaac, a young member of the undead, has never felt more alone. Grappling with his morals and alignment with the living, things don't look up for him when it's revealed that, on top of the humans dying by the hundreds, his own kind have now begun to frenzy at random times, murdering with no remorse and no reason to reveal themselves. All of the Vampires are now on the run within the city, with hard working authorities breathing down their necks as they attempt to find their own to feed on. Now, Isaac must try and find his own way of surviving two plagues at once...
*(This story, while somewhat referencing to original Vampire Lore, includes many homebrew tweaks and changes to what is usually seen in stories of Vampires as well as having my own take on alignment and how Vampires choose to survive. Hopefully it's a fresh perspective to enjoy).*
Ari and Soren's adventures continue as Soren struggles with his new vampiric urges and a coven of witches attempts to recruit Ari for their own ends.
*****
As dark dreams plague Soren, Ari finds his new abilities difficult to control. Something is awakening within him, and as his power grows, he attracts the attention of a group of witches who call themselves the Hecataeon. They believe Ari is an emanation of the goddess Hecate - a physical manifestation of her power - and they want that power for themselves. With their relationship facing challenges from within, Ari and Soren must find a way to unite their strengths before external forces tear them apart.
