• In introducing Erik to Christianity in this fanfiction, I do not mean to play the part of God. "Fatal Flaw" is just a fictional story, and I really wanted to see Erik find the Light. In real life, however, only the Lord can make this happen.
• The characters in this story belong to their rightful owners (such as Gaston Leroux and Victor Hugo), not to me. All I've done is taken them and written a fanfiction about them.

In mere moments, Erik grasped Christine by the waist and pulled her under his protective dark cloak. There, pressed against his chest he moved into the shadows of the wings, Christine blinked at the sudden darkness, grasped Erik's firm arm around her waist with her hands, then struggled to see what was happening through the thick folds of his cloak. The choices have been made. Erik let Christine and Raoul go. A falling chandelier caused a fire. The Opera Garnier went up in flames.
