Mrs. Johnson doesn't believe in God. She is way too educated and enlightened to believe in such things, plus she is progressively liberal in her morals and stubbornly independent. Upon further questioning, I discovered that Mrs. Johnson had no good alternative explanations for the existence of what we experience as reality. Moreover, it appeared that she did not care and was content to never concern herself with such matters. She was of the general opinion that science had explained everything, and therefore God was totally unnecessary. To which I responded that scientists have done no such thing and are no closer to answering any of the questions that really matter. I informed her that science has no explanation for the origin of the universe. No explanation for the origin of the laws of physics. No explanation for the origin of life, and no explanation for the origin of information. Nor were they any closer to solving the hard problem of consciousness.

Upon hearing this, Mrs. Johnson appeared visibly distressed and abruptly went on a rant about all the injustices and evils in the world, and how such injustices and evils made God a criminal and unworthy of her time and consideration. To which I reminded her that it is we that are breaking the commandments and not actually God, and that she had, in her own way, contributed to the breaking of these divine moral principles of right behavior probably every day of her life. At this point, Mrs. Johnson said that she did not have the time for such nonsense and was too busy to indulge in pointless superstitions. After this, she briskly walked away. These days, I encounter Mrs. Johnson everywhere. Her views and prejudices are universal.

Why some people are destined to be sacrificed from their birth? Why a day suddenly turns into storms, leaving a gloomy sky without warmth? Why?......... No one answers these questions. It has been always like this...there is only resonance but no reply. Does an "escape" has to be always looked as a cowardly act? Sanja was an average child. She had no extra-ordinary talents. Or maybe only because, talents only blooms in a suitable situation... Whatever it was, she didn't have a chance to look at. As she struggled for every moment of survival... From the moment she appeared in her mother's womb - she was already labeled as a "seed of sin". Her mother was stubborn. She loved her own her blood and flesh even before its arrival on this world. Oneday she met a noble man - with a huge contrast of her previous experiences. A stone that has been stuck stiff in her heart so far, finally moved out a little bit inviting a soft warmth. She thought - 'maybe a flower's bloom wasn't actually of impossible'! Kothor, a man with unexpressive words had known her personality and understood her standing in the world. Perhaps because he had observed the human world with the impassive manner long enough, he was able to catch her inner griefs, turmoils and vexations. He stood up from his place to shield her and guide her to the right direction. His formal rigid nature shows a hints of glow whenever he stood beside her... When Sanja became rebellious, he extended his hand to remind her own foothold. When she has gone berserk - he could wash away the fogs before her eyesight..........not because he had absolute faith on humanity, but for the reason of saving her soul, free from any dirt. So although he didn't aid her actions, but never left her side for once. Eventually "better" was murdered by "worst". So, why do they have to be abide by the morals of the folks, which failed to give them a place to live?.....

They used my vulnerability against me. They used that weapon, to make me accept their stupid idea. And I of course, accepted it, I didn't even know what they were going to do. They drag you around with metal chains, hit you and turn you into a experiment. This is a second view point from my original story - A Different Virus - Heartfire. I highly advise reading the original book first. Intro: Laura was a happy child without a care in the world. She loved her parents and life was perfect. Nothing seemed like it could go wrong. People started talking about a bad flu that was spreading and sending some into a coma. Her parents grew worried and stocked the house in case of a pandemic. Months later another virus appeared. Her family was shocked when the news people started reporting that zombies were actually real and not just part of a horror movie. They were appearing in every country. Her parents reassured her that none of the zombie sightings had been anywhere close to them. Her life is turned upside down when her father ends up in hospital with the bad flu and mother exiles her upstairs for her safety. She was never allowed downstairs again. Weeks pass and the streets become deserted with the exception of the red eyed zombies that wandered around. One night she notices a swiftly moving figure with glowing blue eyes in the street below. Should she call out or remain silent? Is this fleeting shadow something that can help her or could this mysterious figure be even more dangerous than the zombies themselves? ---------------------- Ranked #1 Apr 10, 2018 (A huge thank you to all who read and voted!) This story is copyright and built from my own imagination. This book was a special request from someone who helped me a lot. This viewpoint has less action than the original. The cover was made by @All_AboutAssymetry. A huge thanks to her! Copyright September 2016. All Rights Reserved. Readers may not copy, alter, or steal this story. I will be posting this story on Royal Road.com. If God is all powerful, can He make something He cannot lift? Being that God is all powerful He can lift anything, yet if He is all knowledge He can make something He cannot lift. The answer to this paradox is found here. After reading this short, hilarious essay you may find yourself pondering profound spiritual truths, or you may think I'm a blithering idiot who has no idea what he's talking about and needs brain meds. I hope your opinion is the former. Bob Hall hates his name, say it out loud, and you'll understand why, sounds really stupid. He's changing his name to Wentworth Wellington Hall; this will instill awe and respect in others. So, from now on he's referring to himself as Wentworth. He'll buy a monocle next week on Tuesday at exactly 3:17pm. Due to the critical time importance, he'll be wearing his double-breasted blue color blazer with yellow long johns and purple penny loafers. He knows this will cause the ladies to faint and strong men will whimper like beaten turtles. Wentworth was starting to feel unusually strange in his heart, mind, spirit, and soul because the extremely powerful psychedelics were kicking in. He wasn't quite certain if taking 50 hits of Grateful Dead LSD, a huge ball of Magic Psilocybin Mushrooms and Very Pure DMT at the same time was the grandest idea he'd ever had. He'll find out sooner rather than later. Massive earthquakes started shaking the house, yard, and street. The sky turned purple, and the pouring rain was green. He just saw a ten-foot-tall orange lady with a tail and mustache riding a skateboard. Superman was powerless and running from a kryptonite moose with white wings. Suddenly his living room phased, shifted and exploded into absolute total complete unending darkness. He heard what he thought was him saying, "Bob Hall, you have now entered into the state of complete nothingness, and you will vanish from your own awareness. Forever."

Thank you for reading, and I hope you enjoy! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Have you ever seen the yin yang? The two swirls intertwining, yet never blending? Somehow, it's so tranquilizing, so beautiful. Polar opposites working together to create harmony and beauty. There is no grey line, there is no mixture, there just is. Yin cannot be without yang, and yang cannot be without yin. Whether a universe... or a person. Enter Y/N L/N. She's troubled by a haunted past, old ghosts dragging her back. Striving to outrun memories, she moves to London with a scholarship to Queen Mary University. Rapidly running out of luck, she stumbles upon an old bookshop, the only peaceful place in the entire city. You already know who owns it... Don't you? Sacrifice and loss, disappointment and regret. Growth and rebirth, kindness and love. It all balances out. Something lost, something gained. Will Y/N and her two slightly suspicious new friends make it out unscathed? Doubtful. But what's a story without pain?
