Darklings: Book 1

"I stared at my face in the mirror. My soft, petite features were still the same. My eyes were still the same abnormally, shocking, green I remember. My nose the same -- small with exactly eight freckles across it. I had a thin, but round, face and light strawberry blond hair that hung in long, bouncy curls down my back. But what was seemingly out of place was the small black crescent moon on my cheekbone, below my left eye."
