Sero was always a background character. He had no flashy quirk his hair didn't stand up just by ruffling it. He didn't really even have much until he met Kaminari. But he felt something missing. He loved Kaminari but it felt like he needed something that Kaminari just was giving him.(I might make this a polyamory and revive kami if you guys don't like it)
