Greek mythology has it that long ago, Nyktimos, son of Lycaon, was murdered by his father and sacrificed to Zeus. Zeus, in turn, decided Lycaon would forever bear the curse of the beast as long as he roamed the Earth. But, soon Lycaon would find out that he wouldn't be the only one given that fate.
Althea Callista grew up hearing the legends of the first true shape-shifting werewolf, Nyktimos, fearing the savage beast every time she closed her eyes. The last thing she imagined was finding out Nyktimos was very much real, the shadow king of all Alphas, creator of the modern werewolves. Even worse, she never expected he would be her mate.
