Life in district 12 was hell for Levi ackerman. His mother left him and his sister, Mikasa Ackerman, at a young age. He was then was put into the care of his uncle, Kenny Ackerman. Doing anything to keep him and his sister alive,  he never had time to rest. Food, illness, the reaping, never left his mind. After a while, he grew thick skin to it all.

Years pass, and Levi is eligable for the reaping, being a grown, yet short, 16 year old man. Even though it isn't his first year for Levi, it is Mikasas first year to be eligiable. Never in a million years would anyone think that sweet, gentle, kind, stoic Mikasa would of been picked.
