Ine is a spirit lost in the mystical woods of Idanwe. She has no idea who she is or why she is left to suffer the loneliness of the wild. That is until she makes a kill and endangers her hideout. Ine is forced to flee to her new bolthole--the human realm--where she finds herself in the middle of the splendour and pomp of Ayek... and a new enemy ensnaring her existence.
In the city of Ayek, the spring carnival draws unwanted guests--maniacal beings from hell. Munash, a low-ranking wizard with a penchant for unconventional magik is tasked on trapping these vicious trespassers. When Munash's ritual magik reveals him the first of the trespassers, a strange, unhuman like lne, he is certain of his next move. Trap and strike. Only it doesn't go as planned.
As greater threats begin to loom over the horizon, what Munash and Ine might need to survive could be each other's abilities. That is, if they don't get killed in the hands of the other first.
