Colleen Smith has always been fond of poetry. It gave her life and a purpose, and she wants to become a poet after graduating from high school. She usually writes in the local magazine, but she wants something bigger.
She befriends Harry Styles who wants her to write more and wants to see her succeed. After Colleen wins the Annual Poetry Meet of her literature club, he asks her to write a book.
The story takes on with Colleen and Harry being part of ups and downs, taking on challenges together.

I looked up from my drawings and my favourite nitwit caught my eye. The way the sunlight from the tall windows caught his profile as he leaned forward, embarrassingly absorbed in taking notes made me want to kill myself. His dark curls kept falling across his eyes, and he'd absently brush them back with the end of his bitten pen. I found myself watching his hands more than paying attention to the rest of him, admiring how his fingers moved across the page with such purpose. When he finally looked up and caught me staring, I theatrically winked to piss him off, feeling my cheeks warm as he rolled his eyes with a supressed smile.
